The Diocesan Children’s Choir Festival provides an opportunity for the children of our diocese (3rd to 8th grades) to be nurtured both musically and spiritually. In a society where the arts are becoming more and more part of political agendas, the goal is to provide a safe environment where our children can express their Catholic faith through Sacred Music and community.
The choir combines students from Catholic schools and parishes within our diocese in an intensive workshop setting. Participation is upon the recommendation of diocesan school music teachers and parish music directors.
The inaugural festival will be held at St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Birmingham on Thursday December 14th from 4-7pm and Friday the 15th from 8:30am–1:00pm.
