Italian-American Heritage Society
to meet Oct. 14 at Veteran’s Park
The Italian-American Heritage Society will have its next meeting on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at Veteran’s Park on Valleydale Rd. for the Columbus Day picnic. A RSVP is required as food is provided, and those attending are asked to bring a dessert. RSVP to Everyone of Italian heritage is encouraged to join. Meetings are normally on the second Sunday of each month at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows. The goal of the IAHS is to increase awareness of the sacrifice our ancestors made in immigrating to this country and to preserve their memory and honor them and their contribution to this area and our nation.
