Robert (Bob) M. Sellers, Jr., CPA – Chief Financial Officer
Bob administers the temporal goods of the diocese.  He has direct oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls and internal audit.  Bob serves as risk manager and functions as liaison with the diocesan claims administrators for commercial and health insurance matters.  Bob negotiates and oversees all diocesan debt, including that for schools and parishes.  He works closely with consultants and third party administrators in the exercise of fiduciary responsibility and oversight of the lay employee 403(b) retirement plan.

Kimberly South, CPA - Controller
Kim supervises day to day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger.  She prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial statements for the Chancery Administrative Office, Diocesan Deposit & Loan Program, Catholic Charities, The Catholic Foundation of North Alabama and the Catholic One Voice.

Ina Cooley – Human Resource Manager
Ina handles employee relations, including new hire paperwork, group medical and dental enrollments, changes, and terminations.  She also administers FMLA, Workman’s Compensation, and 403B enrollments.  Ina is a resource for Principals and Priests concerning any employee related issues from the hiring process through terminations.  She is also available to employees to answer questions or concerns they may have with eligibility and the benefits that are available to them 

Maureen Davis – Accounts Receivable Associate
Maureen manages all monies received and oversees the timely collection of payments.  She is the contact for our Right Networks Cloud Accounting Service, ensuring efficient Customer Service and Technical Support.  She assists with providing QuickBooks support as needed as well as assisting the Controller with financial reporting

Kristopher Fletcher – Payroll Associate
Kristopher manages the centralized payroll system for the Diocese of Birmingham.  He coordinates and processes bi-weekly payroll disbursements for approximately 1,400 employees in the diocese.  Kristopher is the point of contact for bookkeepers, secretaries, priests, and Human Resources to assure that all employees are paid correctly and timely.  This includes the oversight of payroll taxes, pay changes, address changes, and/or deductions.

Rush Jackson – Internal Auditor
Performs internal audits of parishes, schools and apostolic offices.  His duties include planning, scope and follow-up.  All locations in the diocese are on a rotation that results in an on-site audit on a 3/5 year cycle.

Peter Rataj– Information Systems Manager
Peter manages all functions related to providing Information Technology services to Diocesan Chancery Departments as well as to various schools, parishes and other ministries across the diocese in order to facilitate the mission of the Diocese.

Gigi Pickard, CPA – Accounting Services Manager
Gigi Pickard administers the use of QuickBooks among the locations and provides accounting support for locations using QuickBooks.She alsoassist smaller Parishes with bookkeeping, does accounting for Catholic Social Services and internal followup.Gigi maintains property files and other recordsfor the  finance department.

Beatriz Roberts – Administrative Assistant
Beatriz’s primary functions are to facilitate the work of the Finance-Human Resource Department by performing various duties as receptionist and support for both departments.  She is the “Voice of Finance”.

Allison Steed, CPA- Beacons of Hope, Inc. – Coordinator/ DOB Accounts Payable Associate
Allison serves as the liaison between Diocesan Schools and Scholarships for Kids, a Scholarship Granting Organization.  She is the administrator of the scholarship funds for the schools that have students who are scholarship recipients.   Allison assists schools with QuickBooks and monthly bookkeeping.She also processes accounts payables and check requests for the Diocesan Administrative Office.
