Diocesan Choir is Forming!  - A new opportunity to meet other singers in our diocese and to participate in special Diocesan Liturgies, special Events, especially in the New Bishop Installation Mass!

Purpose of the Diocesan Choir: to sing at liturgical times when the Bishop is the celebrant, such as
Chrism Mass, Ordination Mass, Special Liturgies (Blue, Red, White Masses) and when there is a special Concert.

Vision:  The Diocesan Choir Ensemble will be representative of all our parishes, singing a repertoire of music that includes songs and hymns suggested by parish music directors, sung both in English and in other languages.

 Logistics: Regional rehearsals will be in Birmingham and in Hunstville, select a location near you. We will provide music and planning mini-workshops, rehearsal tracks, and mini-group rehearsals.


Requirement: Commitment to excellence and available! – Simply, looking for adults (over 18) who love to sing! No auditions, but you must be able to ‘carry a tune’ and maintain a standard of excellence. Though we realize that you may not be able to participate in all the Opportunities, we would like to have a good level of participation.

** In Huntsville Region: at Good Shepherd Catholic Church
Thursday, December 12 and Sunday, January 12 (6:30pm)
